With the improvement of production processes, paper trays can now be mass-produced and widely manufactured. However, in the processing of paper trays, drying is a crucial process that accounts for a significant portion of product costs. So, how can we improve the efficiency of drying in the processing of paper trays?
The raw material for paper holders consists solely of a slurry containing approximately 1% paper fiber. After forming, the wet paper sheet must be pressed using mechanical equipment to reduce its moisture content to 55%. However, since the moisture content of the formed paper holder reaches 65%-75%, it is difficult to further reduce the moisture content using mechanical means. During the processing of electrical paper holders, each kilogram of finished product requires resin adsorption to remove approximately 3.5-4.5KG of moisture throughout the entire drying process. Whether from the perspective of reducing product costs or improving the quality of paper holders, enhancing the efficiency of drying is of crucial practical significance!
Wet paper molding, with paper fiber as its key component, is a porous object with internal capillary structure, where moisture is stored on the surface of fibers and in the pores of fiber capillaries. Paper tray products used for commodity packaging are generally required to have excellent dynamic cushioning properties. The moisture in them cannot be completely removed by mechanical squeezing, but must be adsorbed by resin through drying methods. Therefore, compared to the basic paper drying process, the drying compressive strength of pulp molding products is very high.
The warm air serves as a heat source to remove water and provide kinetic energy on the one hand, and as a moisture medium to carry away the continuously evaporating water on the other. The removal of moisture from wet press paper involves both internal and external diffusion and diffusion. To put it simply, internal diffusion refers to the entire process of water transfer from the interior to the outer surface of the wet paper, while diffusion refers to the entire process of water being carried away after evaporating from its surface. The dryness of the paper depends on the rate of internal diffusion, the rate of diffusion, and the balance between them. Effective processing standards should be formulated closely around these two aspects and the physical properties of the dried paper product!
